A carpenter's company, run like one
Build By Manny started the way most good trade businesses do — with a carpenter, a truck and a reputation built one job at a time in Knoxville. That has not really changed. Manny is still on site, still the person you call, and still the one answerable for how the work turns out.
What has grown is the range. Today we handle door installation, general carpentry, baseboard & trim installation, cabinetry, decking & railing, roof repair — six trades under one roof. For a homeowner that means a project touching doors, trim and a deck does not need three separate crews, three separate schedules and someone refereeing between them.
We work across Knox County, Blount County, Anderson County and the surrounding communities, on everything from 1920s bungalows with plaster and out-of-plumb walls to new construction out past Hardin Valley. Older houses get the scribing and coping they need. Newer builds get the finish detail production framing usually skips.
The part we care most about is the part that is hardest to advertise: telling you the honest answer. If your deck frame is sound and only needs resurfacing, we quote resurfacing. If a door needs an afternoon of adjustment rather than a new unit, we say so. We would rather lose the bigger invoice and keep the customer.
